MITYANA - The bishop of Kiyinda Mityana diocese, Rt Rev Dr Jsoeph Antony Zziwa has advised teachers and school proprietors, to educate and bring up students, who are self-reliant.

Bishop Zziwa said that although it is good to always excel in academics, but there is a lot that is needed for a child to learn which can help him or her to live a better life after school.

"It's a pitty that one can pass well, graduate and make a family. But fails to have a plant of a tomato at his or her home," he said.

He was preaching during the celebration of mass at Mityana College Kikumbi, to mark the Silver Jubilee of the school.

He commended the school for its moto, ‘Self reliance to is Our Goal'
and asked students to live by it.

The bishop further said that the church still wants more religious leaders, to serve, and advised students to always join.

In the Catholic Church, most of the religious leaders like Priests and sisters always go through specil institutions like Seminaries and convents, right away from lower classes.
