For the first three quarters, Betway Power did everything right while the KIU Titans huffed and puffed with a garish brand of individualistic basketball.

The result was a 57-44 lead going into the final frame. Then everything changed.

KIU began to impose their will on Power and the latter barely held on, edging it 67-65.

Geoffrey Soro snatched a game-high 19 points and added 10 rebounds against his former side in what was one of the most dominant performances for the forward in a Power uniform.

"I am happy, I'm relaxed," Soro said about his performance.

"As teammates we are helping each other, we trust each other and we believe in each other. It's just Power, if you fit in you fit in."

Joseph Ikong added 15 points and seven rebounds for Power who looked special in the first three quarters - combining their perennial transition game with some sleek ball-movement in the half court.

But it all nearly meant nothing after the Titans turned tables in the fourth quarter, outscoring Power 21-10.

Michael Bwanga led KIU with 16 points while Chris Omanye and Sudi Ulanga added 13 and 10 points respectively.

The Titans cut the deficit to two points at 64-62 with two minutes, from which point the game lurched from one dramatic swing to another.

Finally, with time expiring, KIU's Samuel Agutu missed an open put back that would have sent the game to overtime. He was full of remorse, Power full of joy as they escaped with the win.

Power take on Our Saviour in Sunday's last of four matches at the arena.
