His Holiness cherishes peace and social equality
His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin T.U.S is the 53rd and current supreme leader (Da'i al-Mutlaq) of the Dawoodi Bohras. He received the name Aali Qadr Mufaddal from his grandfather, Dr Syedna Taher Saifuddin. He took up the religious office in 2014, following the death of his father. During his reign, the influential spiritual leader has contributed enormously to the restoration of medieval Fatimid architecture, most notably the Al-Hakim Mosque and a number of other Fatimid-era mosques, located in Cairo. He received much of his spiritual guidance from his father.
Leadership and philanthropy
His Holiness has undertaken numerous projects in the restoration of medieval Fatimid masjids in Egypt and other edifices in the Arab world, under the guidance of his father. Notable projects include the restoration and revival of Al-Hakim Mosque (al-Jamea al-Anwar), the restoration of the masjid of Syedna Zoeb bin Moosa, the restoration of Aqmar Mosque, construction of the mosque in Salamiyah, restoration of the Lulua Mosque and Juyushi Mosque, Zarih mosque, Zaynab bint Ali (Cairo). In 2011, during his centennial celebrations, he established Al Jamea tus Saifiyah in Nairobi, Kenya.
