Police detain five Pakistanis, one Ugandan over forgery

According to Police, the suspects include Muhammad Sarwar, Khalil Muhammad, Bashir Muhammad, Umar Haroop, Muhammad Asif and Ugandan Winene Coston Yosia.

CRIME 
 
KISORO - Police in Kisoro district are having in custody five Pakistanis and one Ugandan over allegations of forgery and uttering false documents.
 
According to Police, the suspects include Muhammad Sarwar, Khalil Muhammad, Bashir Muhammad, Umar Haroop, Muhammad Asif and Ugandan Winene Coston Yosia.
 
The Kigezi regional Police spokesperson told New Vision the suspects were arrested on April 3, 2018 in the morning at Musanze border of Rwanda  heading to Goma (DR Congo) having exited through Kyanika(Uganda border)in Kisoro district.
 
"After proper scrutiny of their presented suspected forged resident permits, that's when they were arrested by immigration officials of Rwanda which handed them over to Uganda Police," said Maate.
 
He added that the suspects are currently in detention and arrangements to transfer them to Kampala for further management are underway.
