I didn't think twice about joining KCCA - Mutyaba

Jun 05, 2018

He is expected to make his debut in July against Tunisia's Esperance in the CAF Champions League

New recruit Mike Mutyaba says the good working environment at KCCA FC encouraged him to join them.

"The coaches, players, staff are all good people and for me, this is not something I had to think about for long. When the time for signing for the club came I immediately signed without second thought," he stated after signing a one year deal with the Lugogo-based side.

"I am an experienced player who has played at the top level like in the CAF Champions League and I believe I can add so much to this KCCA FC side. I feel ready and fit to play in a team of KCCA FC's magnitude. I am also ready to work with the players, coaches and management," he added.

Mutyaba who retired from football in 2016, decided to bounce back after KCCA FC coach, Mike Mutebi, believed that he still has a lot to offer.

He is expected to make his debut in July against Tunisia's Esperance in the CAF Champions League.

Mutyaba who can play as a midfielder or striker, has played for Zana FC, Bunamwaya (now Vipers SC) and Express FC in Uganda.

He has also played abroad for TP Mazembe (DRC) and El-Merreikh (Sudan).
