Villa suspends Mutakabala over public spat with Bbosa

He will now face the club’s disciplinary committee

SC Villa has suspended assistant coach Paul Mutakabala following his public feud with his boss at the club.

Mukatabala's suspension comes after he took to social media on Saturday to accuse head coach, Wasswa Bbosa, of attacking him after Villa's 1-0 defeat to UPDF.

"The club has received reports of your misconduct and behaviour, where your recent actions have tarnished the club image as per the club code of conduct, which you are contracted to as a professional coach," the statement put out by club CEO Vally Mugwanya said.

Among other issues, the statement cited a training ground incident where Mutakabala abandoned a training session without explanation.

"The executive has always been following your social media posts and on 5th May, 2018 you posted on social media (Facebook) something we found tarnishing and not in complex with someone of your highest calibre in the club as regards your position as a coach," the statement added.

Mutakabala will now face the club's disciplinary committee at a later date and has been barred from taking part in any club activity.

Villa president Ben Misagga on Tuesday criticised the feuding coaches and called for an end to their spat.

"Those two are not my kids. Let them grow up, I do not groom coaches," he stated.
