Development Channel is CURRENTLY set to become the second highest employer of labour in Uganda private sector through the creation of 5,000 jobs in customer service
One of the greatest mysteries of the international community is why the hard fought freedom and democracy initiated through the sowing of the first mustard seed by President Museveni and the loyal members of the National Resistance Movement has not yet translated to economic prosperity for Ugandans. Why one of the most peaceful nations in the world, the most stable government in Africa, the highest security to life and property for almost 30 years remains the poorest country in East Africa and one of the poorest in the world has remained an illusion until now. The dream of Museveni to create a peaceful and prosperous Uganda is unfortunately simply held back and delayed by the Ugandan private sector! The responsibility and duty of ANY government in the world is to create an ENABLING environment for private sector to make a difference. From The US to China, Germany to the UK and Canada to Japan, the private sector is the catalyst for prosperity ushering in jobs, income and GDP boost on the foundation of a caring, sensitive and protective government.
