URA FC appoints Sam Ssimbwa as interim coach

Ssimbwa becomes the third coach to manage URA this season.

URA FC has appointed Sam Simbwa has interim coach, the club has announced.

"Over the years, URA FC has endeavoured to build a winning team. Just like our tagline: One Team, One Dream, this is the time the team needs all the support necessary from our beloved fans and we pledge all that is required to keep this dream alive,"read a press release issued by the club.

"The URA FC Board  has appointed Sam Simbwa Bamweyana to guide the team up to the end of the season. We warmly welcome Sam and believe he has all the expertise necessary to lead a team of champions."

Ssimbwa who resigned his post as the head coach of Kenyan outfit Sofapaka few weeks ago, took over from Paul Nkata. Nkata who joined the tax collectors resigned on Tuesday after his side went down 7-2 to KCCA in the Azam Uganda Premier League at StarTimes stadium,Lugogo.

Ssimbwa becomes the third coach to manage URA this season after Nkata and Ibrahim Kirya. His first game in charge will be away at Green Light stadium when URA take on Onduparaka in Arua.
