KISORO - A forex bureau in Kisoro municipality on Kisoro-Bunagana Road was on Monday night robbed of millions of shillings.

The Kisoro district Police commander, Charles Okoto, said thugs entered Jetset Forex Bureau and stole over sh24m.

He told New Vision that he suspects that the forex bureau staff could have connived with the thugs since there was no break in.

Okoto added that they were hunting for Robert Turyatunga, the forex bureau security guard, who was on duty at the time of the incident.

According to reports, Turatunga handed over his gun on Tuesday morning and left for home, before the manager discovered that money was missing from the safe.

"We have summoned the manger and other employees to help us in the investigations," Okoto said.

This is the second time the forex bureau is being robbed, in 2016, thugs broke into the bureau and made off sh20m.
