KAMWENGE - The residents of Biguli sub-county in Kawenge are on Thursday set to get clean and safe water after enduring a prolonged period without safe water.
The residents, who have been fetching water from the shallow wells, will now access clean and safe water installed by Water for People, a non-governmental organisation.
The water and environment ministry, together with Water for People officials are scheduled to commission the water at Biguli sub-county.

According to Ronald Mugume, the Biguli sub-county chief, the accessibility of safe and clean will go a long way in easing the residents from walking long distances in search of water and prevent waterborne diseases.
