Mar 21, 2018

Dr. Muyingo also thanked all other media houses– newspapers and broadcast stations, which have played a great part over the years in promoting education in the country.

AFTER 13 years of New Vision producing the University Guide for its readers, the state minister for higher education Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo says, "This is a tested product and parents and students had better not miss securing their copies."

The well-researched, over-60 page University Guide will be freely offered to you, in your New Vision newspaper; next week on Thursday (March 29, 2018).

"New Vision has been instrumental in education reporting, especially on higher education. I have often read their annual publication of the Guide, and I'm confident that they will have another great product for you," Dr. Muyingo says.

He adds that every parent and student needs to take time and get acquitted with what is happening in higher education. "So many issues are evolving over the years in this sub-sector, and it is important, as a good parent, student or citizen; to keep on top of the situation."

Dr. Muyingo also thanked all other media houses- newspapers and broadcast stations, which have played a great part over the years in promoting education in the country.

Dr. Muyingo says parents need to focus on higher education, since it is instrumental in building their wellbeing and the economy at large. "The basic role of universities and higher institutions of learning is to teach and conduct research aimed at enhancing individuals and the country's growth."

"But to achieve this, there must be proper guidance for parents and students," he explains.

What's in the Guide?

The University Guide will offer unique and well researched information. It will have all its takes for a student to join, go through the university life, and also get a job.

It has tips for parents and students on accommodation, including a poll ranking the best hostels for anyone to join near given universities. The poll, was based on students' perceptions, and was done by New Vision's experience and senior research team, in a period of about three months.

The Guide, will also have content on accredited courses, universities and tuition for every course; to effectively guide the students and their benefactors.

At no extra cost, the Guide will be added to your copy of March 19; which is Thursday next week.

The Guide will also cover issues cutting across the East African region, the African continent and various opportunities and offers on the global market and universities.

This time round, the Guide will offer you another unique research study about graduates and employment in the country, scholarship opportunities and the accredited courses and universities.
