Watoto to support worshippers whose cars were damaged

KAMPALA - Watoto Church has pledged to support church goers whose vehicles were damaged during a Sunday afternoon downpour.

Last Sunday as people were listening to the word of God, a heavy rain saw giant trees fall on some people's cars in the church's parking lot, damaging them severely.

The worshipers had to cut short their service and rash outside to inspect what had happened, only to find their cars, mostly which bore new number plates, heavily damaged.

 "As some of you are already aware, we experienced heavy rain storms in parts of Kampala today, Sunday March 2018."

"One of our campuses, Watoto Church Ntinda, was particularly affected as a tree unfortunately fell down, damaging a few cars, as a result of the storm."

We thank God that no one was harmed. We are working with those individuals and families who experienced damage to their property. We will support them in any way that we can," reads the statement released by the church.

Speaking to New Vision, Esther Egwang, the church's spokesperson, noted that they were going to look at ways to mitigate any such incidents caused by extreme weather conditions.
