KCCA coach Mike Mutebi believes that his side can make it to the quarterfinal of the CAF Champions League after seeing the team qualify for the first round for the first time.

"Our target is to reach the quarter-finals since we have the potential. We played as team to reach this far. My players also managed to hold on to the game well in the last 15 minutes of the game," Mutebi stated.

St George which is the home of Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Robert Odongkara gave KCCA a hard time in the last minutes of the game.

A minimum of $550,000 (sh1.9bn) cash prize awaits KCCA in the group stages.

The cash on offer from oil giants Total will see the winning team bagging $2.25m (sh8.1bn), runner-up $1.25m (sh4.5bn).

Losing semi-finalists are assured of $875,000 (sh3.1bn), quarter-finalist $675,000 (sh2.4bn), while the third and fourth placed teams in the group will each get $550,00 (sh1.9bn).
