The champions of the day were then handed a trophy from the school headmaster, Constantine Mpuuga.

Namilyango old boys class of 2003-08 showed that they still have the fitness they portrayed while they were still students at the school, following their dominance of the nineth edition of the NACOBA sports gala, held at MUBS sports ground on Sunday.

Known for producing top rugby players in the country, nothing less of celebrated sports personalities was expected at the event and Uganda Rugby players and old boys, Justin Kimono, Brian Odongo, Joseph Aredo, Brian Asaba and coach Robert Seguya were all part of the action.

The colorful event that spanned over five hours included a number of sports games such as Chess, five a side football, table tennis, rugby, sack race, basketball, scrabble and athletics that were competed in by classes from as early as 1985 to date.

Different classes donned different colours and despite the school being known for its rugby prowess, five a side soccer was the day's main event as the 2003-08 class defeated the class of 1999-04, 1-0 in the final to power their way into claiming the trophy.

As expected, the rugby class of 2005-10 won the rugby competition while the chess and table tennis competitions were won by the classes of 1989-95 and 1999-04 respectively.

Ochien Rigori, a student of the 2010-05 won the 100 meter race and the day was capped off with a tag of war competition won by the class of 2001-06.

The champions of the day were then handed a trophy from the school headmaster, Constantine Mpuuga.
