After being cleared as the rightfully elected Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) President, Moses Muhangi has vowed to bring back boxing glory.

A High Court decision appears to have finally brought the wrangles to an end, when Lady Justice Lydia Mugambe ruled on Wednesday that Muhangi was lawfully elected.

The wrangles arose when two camps held elective assemblies on January 20. The group which met at Kati-Kati gardens in Lugogo, Kampala elected Muhangi as president while Kenneth Gimugu was re-elected' as president at the Lugogo Tennis Courts.

Gimugu petitioned Court to nullify Muhangi's election but Justice Mugambe, on Wednesday ruled in Muhangi's favour.

"I plan to focus on bringing back the boxing glory through capacity building. I plan to prioritise the training of coaches, referees and judges," said Muhangi after the Court ruling.

He also said that he intends to put emphasis on creating working committees in the shortest time possible to manage the sport.
