ENTEBBE - The Police on Wednesday intercepted a truck carrying sacks of fish and a body at Kasenyi landing site in Entebbe following a tip-off from residents.
The corpse was found in a black polythene bag and stashed in-between the bags of fish.
Suspicion drove the fishermen at the landing site to tip off Police when they saw the truck, which was carrying silverfish (mukene).
The Police ordered the driver to unload the truck, and when he did so, a black bag carrying a body of an identified person was seen.
Meanwhile, the Police later replied to New Vision's tweet that they had established that the deceased had died of natural causes.
"The deceased died of natural causes from Kyana, Kalangala District & postmortem was carried out. They were intercepted by Police which verified the cause of death & proper transportation was accorded to the body," the Kampala Metropolitan Police wrote on Twitter.
