This follows Vipers decision to exclude its players from the competition.

FUFA has warned clubs from barring their players from taking part in the Inter- Province tournament called the Drum. The new competition kicks off this weekend in Busoga region.

"Players that do not honour the invitation shall be ineligible to participate in FUFA organised competitions. If a club uses such an ineligible player, the club shall loose that match by forfeiture and the player shall remain ineligible until the one match sanction is served," FUFA CEO Edgar Watson said in a statement.

This follows Vipers decision to exclude its players from the competition.

"It has come to our notice that almost all Vipers SC players have been summoned to different provinces. Therefore as Vipers, we wonder which kind of talent can be identified from a Vipers squad of established Cranes internationals, national youth team players and a good number of former international players," noted Vipers CEO in a statement.

"The purpose of this communication therefore is to officially bring it to your attention that's Vipers SC administration resolved to bar all the club registered players from taking part in this tournament as a measure to safeguard the club's interests as well as fulfilling the tournament intentions which the respective provinces technical teams seem to have overlooked," he added.
