Micho is Absa Premiership manager of the month

The Serbian guided Pirates to three wins in four matches with his side scoring nine goals in those games.

Former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho'  Sredojevic  who is now Orlando Pirates tactician has been named coach of the month for January at the Absa Premiership monthly awards.

The panel of judges comprised of broadcasters, commentators and analysts, voted Micho as the best coach of the month ahead of Free State Stars's Luc Eymael, Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela, Fadlu Davids, the Maritzburg United coach and Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt.

Micho was also hailed together with his technical team for transforming Pirates in the second round of the league despite signing many players.

Micho ‘s outstanding moment in January was when Pirates beat table leaders Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 in the game that saw them named among title contenders.

At the same awards, Maritzburg United midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu  was voted the  player of the month for January 2018.
