Qatar President's XI 244/7 Uganda 232

(Qatar win by 12 runs)

The Cricket Cranes' tour to Qatar is left with just one recreational T20 game against the hosts tomorrow.

Today, a justified sightseeing occasion will help the traveling side loosen-up following a consuming five games routine.

A reflection on the tour indicates a standout statistic of one win and three loses for new skipper Roger Mukasa and Co who played their first day game Sunday.

Conversely, it was not quite the result they wanted as the Cricket Cranes fell short by 12 runs at the hands of Qatar President's XI.

Mohammed Waleed got the scoreboard moving, reaching a half century of 64 from 87 balls as his select side posted 244 in 45 overs. Gayan Anoop weighed in with 34 from 16 balls in spite of Henry Ssenyondo's 2 wickets claim on a day U19 youngster Trevor Bukenya got his debut.he prized out Qatar President's XI's opener Usman Ushantha for 5.

Uganda's "Baby" Deus Muhumuza registered a respectable return of 62 runs from 86 balls with Uganda needing 245.

Kenneth Waiswa scored a near half ton of 45 from 24 balls to further qualify his consistency. Simon Ssesaazi knocked 34 off 29 balls but then Tamoor Sajjad's undefeated 3 wickets for 35 runs ensured Uganda were all out for 232. The Qatar tour has had both T20 and 50 overs formats.

Uganda is expected to connect to India for another round of pick-up games in preparation for the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 April and May this year in Malaysia. The tournament will determine qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
