Woodball rewards its finest achievers

Brain Gwaaka believes he will register more success in woodball after being crowned the men's Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2017 season at Copper Chimney, Lugogo on Saturday.

The Zoe Club player, who made his first podium finish when he won the National Woodball Open in October last year, has dreams of competing at the Woodball World Cup in July in a bid to start earning international ranking points.

"I know that if I make it to the World Cup, I will have achieved two goals. I don't only expect to return with a gold medal but also earn my first ranking points," Gwaaka said.

The women's MVP award went to Joyce Nalubega.There were winners in many other categories.
