The camp also helps connect the athletes with world class managers.

After the trials, the Uganda Athletics Federation president Dominic Otucet and coach Giuseppe Giambrone renewed the partnership between the athletics federation and Tuscany Camp.

Tuscany Camp is an athletics camp through which young talents, amateurs and full-fledged track and field champions can train and get access to medical services.

Some of Uganda's best athletes will get a chance to train in the state of the art facilities and receive free medical care ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The partnership was renewed because of the success rate the athletes who attended the camp have had.

"We are renewing our partnership with Tuscany camp, a camp that has taken good care of a number of our upcoming athletes. The last three years we have partnered with them, we have managed to get so many benefits and they have managed to rehabilitate a number of our athletes, which is why we are renewing the partnership," Otucet said.

The camp also helps connect the athletes with world class managers such as Giani Demandona, Federico Rosa, Monica Pont Chefer and Julia Garcia among others.
