Suspect escapes three times, shot in the leg

Police officers in Entebbe are still perplexed by one suspect Edrisa Male who has been escaping from Police cells before getting re-arrested.

Male was first arrested a fortnight ago for allegedly stealing a mobile phone before being detained at Abaita Police Post, Entebbe from where he escaped.

After a tip-off, Police located Male and in an attempt to re-arrest him shot him in the right leg as he attempted to flee again.

He was then taken for treatment at Entebbe General Hospital from where he escaped again before the wounded leg could heal.

Male was later found in the bush, with his hands cuffed and taken back to Abaita Police Post.

Entebbe DPC Samuel Mission said Male will be paraded in court next week on two counts; theft and trying to escape from Police cells.
