Socialite Zari Hassan shocked fans when she turned up in an old car with personalized number plates.

Zari, who was driven by a young man at the New Vision offices in Industrial Area, came in a black Chryster but with broken and rusty handles, leaving many wondering what had befallen the 'highly' regarded socialite and former wife of businessman, Ivan Ssemwanga.

Zari however said that she had invited her husband, Diamond Platinum to attend her 'Zari All White Party' on Thursday night at Club Guvnor.

 

She said she wants to interact with her fans in Kampala but the invited guests will part away with sh50,000.

She has enlisted a number of big names on the music scene to perform, including Michael Ouma, Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, among others.

During a studio live interview on XFM, which is part of the Vision Group, Zari said that she was finding a challenge living a comfortable life amidst the growing influence of the social media, where she is exposed on every step in her private life.

She said her social life was challenging after losing her husband Ssemwanga and her life with Diamond Platinum. She wished she was given some privacy, although she said she uses social media to conduct her business. 

She also explained her life right from Jinja where she grew up, Kampala city and her journey to Dar es Salaam and later to South Africa where she is in charge of Ssemwanga's businesses.

Zari however had a turbulent relationship after it was established that Diamond sired a child with another woman
