Program Director needed at All Cross Africa

All Across Africa (AAA) is a high-volume Handicraft production and export company employing and providing a living wage to thousands of artisans throughout East Africa. AAA Uganda currently has an opening for a motivated candidate for the position of Uganda Program Director

Requirements:

■ Be in alignment with vision and direction of AAA leadership.

■ Ability to think strategically, work creatively, effectively and in an innovative manner

■3-years' verifiable experience leading a team in strategic planning and implementation

■ Must have extensive budgeting experience and familiarity with P&L statements

■ Minimum 3 years in a previous management/leadership position

■ Business experience - recognise and being able to deliver on the need for the work to be done on time and on budget

■ Fluent in English and Luganda (Swahili a plus)

■ Solid writing and computer skills (proficiency in all Microsoft Word and Excel)

■ Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

■ Lead and mentor a staff of four

■ Develop and implement program budgets

■ Lead and implement strategic planning process

■ Manage and oversee all product buys and organize for shipping

■ Oversee the sampling, production, and shipping process of AAA's organization in Uganda

■ Oversee the preparation of all export products for shipment

■ Ensure that there is always an updated inventory of all products in Uganda

■ Ensure that shipments and products accurately reflect what has been ordered

■ Utilise and become proficient in AAA's logistics software (ERP) to optimise procedures

■ Prepare accurate reports for US management and Africa Operations Director Reporting:

■ Submit a written weekly report informing leadership of work completed including successes achieved and challenges faced each week.
