President Museveni returns from Nairobi

President Yoweri Museveni has returned from Nairobi, Kenya, where he joined other regional leaders and other parts of the world to witness the inauguration and swearing-in of President Uhuru Kenyatta for his second term of office as Kenya's Head of State.


The ceremonies took place yesterday in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi. Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta called on the people of Kenya to pledge to reject politics based on religion and violence and embrace hard work, unity and brotherhood.

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport this morning, President Museveni was received by the Minister for Presidency. Hon.  Esther Mbayo, the Head of Civil Service, Mr.  John Mitala, the Commander Airforces, Major General Charles Lutaaya and the Assistant IGP Andrew Sorowen.
