Basena names Cranes squad to prepare for CECAFA

Saddam Juma has bounced back on the national team - the Cranes.

The KCCA midfielder who has taken along without featuring for the national team is part of the 26man squad that has been summoned by Coach Moses Basena to start preparing for forth coming CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.

Apart from Saddam, some of the new entrants on the team include Proline's Daniel Isiagi. Isiagi who previously been on form has far scored four goals in the league.  This year's CECAFA will run from December 3 -16 in Kenya.

The national side will conduct their first training session on Wednesday at Namboole before they travel to Kenya on Friday evening.

Uganda are the current champions having won the trophy for a record 14th time in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2015.

Last year the tournament was not held after Kenya pulled out from hosting the event. Apart from hosts Kenya, Libya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Zanzibar, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia and Uganda are the other participating nations.
