Last Friday served as jumpstart for guests, who included several corporate executives and entertainment journalists at the launch of Amstel beer at Kabira Country Club, Kampala.

The event set in a glitzy fashion to reflect the content in the green bottle, was set in a way to match the launches that were held in other East African countries such as Tanzania.

As guests gobbled the snacks and downed crates of beers, the gloss of the night was presented by singer Cindy Sanyu.

Along with her energetic dancers, Cindy took to stage around 9:00pm as planned and offered guests an energetic and electrifying performance.

The former Blu*3 known for her dancehall-influenced hits like Ayokya Yokya and Selector then drove attendees down the road with a medley of her songs like One and Only and Mbikooye.

This has been quite a good year for Cindy having made her debut in the movie industry following her eye-gripping performance in drama Bella.

After her performances, deejays such as Aludah took the night a notch-higher.  On the night, Uche Unigwe general manager Heineken East Africa, was effusive about the whole fun-filled evening.

"The night is as great as the beer we are bringing in the market," he said.

After launching the beer and all, the guests went into overdrive until midnight.
