Express today unveiled Shafik Bisaso as the club's new coach. Bisaso replaces Douglas Bamweyana who resigned last week.

Bisaso who has coached SC Villa, Soana, KJT and Masavu before will be assisted by Robert Sekweyama.

He will also work with club legend Hassan Mubiru and Sam Kawalya as other members of his backroom staff.

Bisaso's first game will be against league leaders Police on Tuesday at Wankulukuku Stadium.

Bamwenyana stepped down after blaming top management for interfering with his work as a coach.

"I can't work for a team where some officials don't appreciate my work. This atmosphere is not suitable for my job," stated Bamwenyana.

He also claimed that there were some officials and players who were against his stay at the club.

Bamwenyana's resignation came with Express fourth from bottom in the Uganda Premier League. He was in charge for only nine games at Express losing five, winning two and drawing the others.
