Presidents Magufuli and Museveni commissioned the Mutukula One Stop Border Post that will facilitate easy movement and management of persons and goods across the two countries.

MAGUFULI IN UGANDA


Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli has ended his three-day State visit to Uganda during which, together with his counterpart President Yoweri Museveni, they were involved in a number of activities.

On his arrival in Uganda, the two Presidents commissioned the Mutukula One Stop Border Post that will facilitate easy movement and management of persons and goods across the two countries. The two leaders also signed a bilateral agreement.

They further commissioned the construction of the proposed 1,400km East African Crude Oil Pipeline to run from Hoima district to the India Ocean port of Tanga in Tanzania.

President Magufuli, who was on his first State visit to Uganda, today held discussions with President Museveni at the Golf Course Hotel in Masaka, before departing for Tanzania.

Magufuli, who was accompanied by his wife Janet Magufuli and several Government officials, was seen off at Mutukula Border Post by the Ugandan Vice-President Edward  Ssekandi and senior government officials.
