Archdiocese of Tororo seeks sh270m for 2018 Martyrs Day celebrations

The Archdiocese of Tororo is looking for sh720m for the preparation of the 2018 Uganda Martyrs celebrations at Namugongo Martyrs' shrine.

The Archdiocese of Tororo which is comprised of dioceses of Jinja, Tororo, Soroti and Moroto was chosen to animate the June 3, 2018 Martyrs' Day celebrations.

The Archbishop of Tororo Most Rev. Emanuel Obbo said that this year's celebrations will be inspired by the theme, Let us walk in the light of God as Family, because family is where faith is implanted.

He added that over four millions pilgrims are expected to attend and they have already started engaging the relevant authorities including security organs to make the day a success.
