Nov 07, 2017

The event is the last round of the National Rally Championship

Motorsport Africa Club (MOSAC) will have proceeds from its rally due November 18-20th in Masaka go towards renovation of the Mwanyanjiri Primary School in Mbalala, Mukono district and Villa-Maria Children Foundation in Masaka.

MOSAC president Frank Bayendera disclosed the development at Oryx in Mabira Forest where the energy company committed support towards the Oryx Heart Beat Rally in Masaka, Kalungu and Mpigi.

"We found out that these schools despite being near honourable members of Parliament and ministers, they don't see them so we decided to help see that they are roofed," Bayendera stated citing Mwanyanjiri as an example.

"We identified these schools for the needy last year and we appeal to all people out there to support this Nobble cause so that we give hope to such orphanage institutions like Villa-Maria," Bayendera added.

The event that is the seventh on the FMU calendar is the last round of the National Rally Championship (NRC) and will determine the 2017 champion.

According to clerk of the course, Katende Mukiibi, the two-day event will have a total distance of 145.2km competitive stages and 120.7Km covered in twelve stages to be repeated.

"We shall have three route opener cars and a safety car that will go through the routes before we release the competitors," Mukiibi stated.

Christakis Fididis leads the NRC with 375 points, 70 points ahead of second placed Duncan Mubiru (305) and 75 ahead of third placed Ronald Ssebuguzi.
