Aviation Police commander dead

The Police spokesperson, Asan Kasingye has announced the death of the Aviation Police (AVIPOL) commander, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Coleb Mwesigye.

Mwesigye died early morning from Nakasero Hospital where he had been admitted in the intensive care unit for the past week, according to Kasingye. 

Details about the cause of death are still unclear. By press time, family members were still gathering at Nakasero Hospital, in Kampala.

A close friend, also a policeman who spoke to New Vison said preparations to transport the body to his Entebbe home in Wakiso district, were underway.
