National Enduro, 4x4 and Autocross Championship
All roads lead to Kalangala where motorsport fans will witness the fight between youngster Ali Omar Yasser and Arthur Blick Jr. in buggies.
Omar, 14, has dominated the buggy championship for the last couple of years.
He beat Blick brothers Alastair and Paddy and also early this year beat Arthur Blick Jr hands down in the first round of the national championship in Nsimbe Estate.
Now Blick who is the 2015 National Rally Champion and a ten time motocross champion is out to end Omar's dominance but will he manage? That is the question to be answered this Saturday in Kalangala.
"The buggy has been fixed and I'm ready for any challenge" an unfazed Omar told New Vision Sport.
Mugamba upbeat
Despite driving an inferior car (Suzuki Escudo), sports journalist Julius Mugambwa has warned his challengers not to under-estimate him when they face-off in the 4x4 wheel challenge in Kalangala.
Mugambwa navigated by Sean Oseku told New Vision Sport that Kalangala is a different terrain and it will all depend on skills.
"I know when we won the first event and lost the second. Critics thought our victory was just a fluke but we are going to disprove them by winning in Kalangala" Mugambwa stated.
Mugambwa also added that he will compete in the autocross category which has Hassan Alwi, Unisan Bakunda, Ali Omar Yasser, Andy Musoke and Arthur Blick Jr.
However, youngster Omar is not looking back anymore and vowed to continue upsetting many in his buggy in the autocross category.
The Kalangala event is the second last of the national championship.
"Everything is set and we are only waiting for competitors to showcase what they have" event manager Tendo Mutale said.
