UTAMU offers bursaries to students

Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) has announced that it is offering half bursaries to students in Uganda, for some of their selected courses.
According to a statement from the university, "In response to the growing youth unemployment in Uganda, and the growing threat of cyber security locally and internationally, UTAMU is offering half tuition bursaries in selected undergraduate programmes for the January intake."
The university says this is meant to equip students with entrepreneurship skills relevant for job creation.
These academic programmes to consider include diplomas in Computing and Business Administration.
The other Bachelors courses selected for the scholarship include Science in Computer Security and Forensics, Science in Mobile Computing and Communications, Science in Accounting and Finance and Project Planning and Management

The university says, qualified candidates must apply and meet the minimum entry requirements for Diploma and Degree programmes as per the UTAMU admission guidelines available on the website.
"Candidates will be selected on merit basis and the bursary will cover 50% of the tuition fees per the specified period of time in the curriculum," reads the statement.
The maximum slots available for each of the programmes are 50 slots. More so, the study time for these programmes is strictly day (8am-4pm) and Online (distance learning) for business programmes.
