With two days left to the pivotal clash against Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier goal scoring challenge is one of the things that Uganda is still facing.
This was apparent as Cranes succumbed to a 2-1 loss to Madagascar in an international friendly today afternoon in Lugogo.
Muzamiru Mutyaba gave Cranes the lead in the 29th minute off Idrisa Lubega's cross before Rio Carlous Anorianaicino struck twice for visitors in the second half.
Despite creating so many chances especially in the second half, Cranes only managed to convert once. The creativity in team is thing interim coach Moses Basena has to work on before Saturday's tie.
"We need to make sure that we work on the striking force. We create a lot of chances like we did today but at times we don't use them. We shall ensure that we rectify our mistakes," stated Basena.
Cranes stand a chance to qualify for the World Cup in Russia next year and lie second in Group E with seven points, two behind leaders Egypt. Ghana and Congo-Brazzaville are third and fourth with five and one point respectively.
