Bobi Wine eludes Police, rides on boda boda

The Kyadondo East legislator said he spent a night in Kamwokya after he got information that Police planned to block and arrest him from his home in Magere, Wakiso district.

Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine on Tuesday morning used a boda boda to escape from Police that was trailing him on his way to Parliament.
The legislator said he spent a night in Kamwokya after he got information that Police planned to block and arrest him from his home in Magere, Wakiso district.
Kyagulanyi who talked to journalists shortly before setting off from Kamwokya, said he was sure of his security in what he referred as the ghetto city of Kamwokya.
Kyagulanyi, who later dressed up in a black suit and left for Parliament in his black Tundra vehicle.
No sooner had he branched off Semakokiro Road, than two Police patrol vehicles approached and stopped him.
The MP forcefully drove away, prompting a Police chase via Acacia Avenue. In Kololo near Golf Course, his vehicle was trapped in traffic jam.
As Police officers got off their vehicles to arrest him, Bobi Wine jumped onto a bodaboda, which rode off, amidst ululations from his supporters.
At Parliament, he ran into the premises without passing through the check point.
