The Kalisoliso crew hosted their listeners to their mix-and-mingle evening dubbed Kalisoliso Dinner on Friday.
Behind studio microphones, Abbey Mukiibi, Abu Kawenja, Wycliffe Luyombya and Kato Lubwama have enchanted their fans for over 20 years.
The crew started this night to not only have a close-up with their listeners, but mainly to fundraise for Children with Special needs at Masaka School of Children with special needs, Ndegeya.
Happening at Bugolobi Royal Suits, the corporate dinner was graced by the Buganda Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, Prince Junju, Buganda government ministers and several high-profile business leaders.
The hosts, Mukiibi and Luyombya, effortlessly made it an entertaining night, made of rib-cracking jokes that sent their guests to laughter all through. Laughter started with MP Kato Lubwama's arrival when Mukiibi teasingly took him on.
"I have already welcomed as honorable, sir. Now Kato….. man, come and we work. Come on," Mukiibi jestingly called out. Kato joined his colleagues on the flow, and he was the comedian self, who together they sent the room into hilarity.
They joked about Kato's ‘elevated status'. He also reminded and asked his colleagues accept and take it in that God ‘lifted' him.
Then the guns turned to Kawenja who is fresh from Mecca for Hijah, joking about his ‘changed behavior'; how he talks about cities in Saudi Arabia than anything else, to the amusement of the audience.
They were also random oldies' song mimes from the hosts and guests. But that they did not wind off the main reason for the dinner.
And thus talk was about the deaf children and how to help then attain education. They were fleeting speeches, including on from Mayiga.
Pledges were made to support the kids. The present children representing from the school also perform as a way to show gratitude to their supporters. Guests were treated to a sumptuous meal, before Angella Kalule took to the stage to crown the night.
