2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uganda v Ghana (7th October)

Uganda Cranes will miss the services of two of their key players for the must-win 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Ghana next month.

Midfielder Khalid Aucho and defender Murushid Jjuuko will not feature for the Cranes against the Black Stars at Mandela National Stadium due to suspension.

The duo accumulated yellow cards during Cranes 1-0 defeat to Egypt on Tuesday at Arab El Borg Stadium in Alexandria.

Jjuuko and Aucho were booked in the 74th and 90th minute respectively. The duo had earlier been booked when Cranes played to a goalless draw with Ghana in the first leg of the qualifiers last year away in Tamale.

KCCA defender Timothy Awanyi and Geofrey ‘Baba' Kizito who plays in Vietnam for Than Quảng Ninh are some of the players that could been considered as replacements.

Cranes currently lie 2nd in Group E with seven points, two behind leaders Egypt while Ghana and Congo-Brazzaville are third and fourth with five and one point respectively.
