EAC delegates gear up for JAMAFEST

Over 1,000 delegates from different East African countries (EAC) are set to participate in the Jamafest carnival that will take place from September 9 to 14.
"We expect over 250 delegates from each of the member states, including Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan," Pius Bigirimana, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, stated.
Speaking at Media Centre in Kampala today, Bigirimana said entry will be free for the public.
The events and activities at the carnival will include live performances, traditional and children theatre games, art and craft exhibition, cultural fashion shows and a symposium.
The Jamafest carnival is an annual event, where East African countries participate in intercultural dialogue and activities.
