SC Villa conclude pre-season tour of Rwanda on a high

SC Villa's preparations for the new season are in top gear after concluding the Rwanda tour with a 2-1 victory over the army side APR at the Stade De Kigali in Nyamirambo.

Strikers Alex Kitata and George Ssenkaba each struck for the record league champions who start the new season on September 12^th against Soana at Masaka Recreational Stadium.

Prince Buregeya had given the hosts the lead after 19 minutes before Kitata levelled matters and substitute Ssenkaba scored the winning goal in the 2^nd half.

In an earlier match, Allan Kyambadde scored the only goal as SC Villa beat Rayon Sport 1-0 on Saturday.

The two friendly matches were used by SC Villa to test their new signings including; Brian Majwega, Simon Sserunkuma, Allan Kyambadde, Mahad Kakooza, Musa Mukasa, Issa Lumu, Nicholas Kasozi, and George Ssenkaba.

They were expected to return late Tuesday evening before officially unveiling the new players on Sunday at Villa Park.

SC Villa endured a lean season finishing second in the Uganda Premier League while they were eliminated in the round of 64 of the Uganda Cup by a lower regional side Kiboga Young.
