Tears rolled down the cheeks of members of Lukiiko and other guests as Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, read out the exceptional bravery that the late Yvonne Namaganda exhibited when she risked her life to rescue her colleagues from an inferno that gutted Nassolo dormitory of Budo Junior School in 2008, killing 19 other girls. "We have today recognised people who served well in various capacities. Self-sacrifice for love and the betterment of the country is what people should emulate and work towards. Not today's talk of ‘how do I benefit'. It is worrying that for the youth to serve, they first ask: ‘how will I benefit?" Kabaka said, rallying Ugandans to be cautious of the HIV/AIDs virus.

The Kabaka also urged Ugandans to embrace farming, singling out the need to be cautious about the use of scientific methods in order to save the environment.
