Final Round

Return leg

Saturday

Rwanda v Uganda Cranes (Uganda Cranes lead 3-0 from first leg)

Kigali Regional Stadium, Nyamirambo.

Uganda Cranes captain Bernard Muwanga has told his charges that they still need to stay focused if they to qualify for the 2018 Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals in Kenya.

Muwanga made the remarks ahead of the return leg with Rwanda in the final round of CHAN qualifiers this Saturday in Kigali. Cranes managed to win the first leg 3-0 last weekend.

"It is good we won the first battle but that doesn't guarantee our victory. We still need to win the return battle to accomplish the war as victors," said Muwanga.

Meanwhile, defender Timothy Awanyi returns to training. Awanyi missed the first leg as has was away on trials with South Africa side Ajax Cape Town.

"I'm ready to join the rest in our bid to return to CHAN though I missed the first leg of the qualifier. I have only need to work hard so that the coach considers me in the final squad," Awanyi stated.

The team resumes training at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday.
