The first group of pilgrims from Uganda will depart on Wednesday
Prince Kassim Nakibinge has urged Muslim pilgrims heading to Mecca in Saudi Arabia to handle their luggage carefully.
He said that some luggage may contain prohibited items in Saudi Arabia which might put pilgrims in trouble while in Mecca.
He said this at Wandegeya Mosque on Friday while bidding farewell to pilgrims travelling to Mecca.
According to Nakibinge, the first group of pilgrims from Uganda will depart on Wednesday.
Nakibinge said he was grateful to the government of Uganda for giving them priority by securing travel documents in time.
Sheikh Sileiman Ndirangwa said he was grateful that the number of people going to Mecca had increased compared to past years where the numbers were declining.
