UPDF look to extend winning streak against Sharing

Both teams are yet to find the perfect rhythm this season

National Basketball League (YMCA)

UPDF v Sharing

Ndejje v JKL

Concluding their first round of the 2017 National Basketball League, the UPDF Tomahawks will meet Raymond Muhumuza's Sharing Youth in what is anticipated to be a battle of styles tonight at the YMCA in Wandegeya.

More physical than skilled, the rather unpredictable Tomahawks enjoy 2-0 record over the arguably more technical Sharing Youth.

With both teams yet to find the perfect rhythm, UPDF has in the recent past shown signs of resilience with their record in the NBL standing at 3-7.

Baker Kyambadde's UPDF have registered victories against Our Savior, JKL Dolphins and Betway Power.

However, their seven losses to City Oilers, Pemba Warriors, Ndejje Angels, UCU Canons, KIU Titans, Nkumba Marines and Falcons have left a lot to be desired.

But unlike their opponents today, the explosive Tomahawks will not put as much emphasis on the structural play but this will not stop them from extending their unbeaten run over Sharing Youth.

Sharing who are on a two game losing streak, have lost seven of their nine games in the first round.

They go into tonight's encounter following a recent 59-68 loss to the Warriors and will be looking to double their efforts if they are to squeeze a win from UPDF.

The Nsambya side which is yet to face defending champions City Oilers have registered their two victories against Ndejje Angels and Nkumba Marines.

That match will be followed by a relatively more predictable game between the Ndejje Angels and JKL Dolphins.

Walker Obedi's Ndejje University will be favourites to pick up a fifth victory in nine games when they play an out of sorts JKL side.
