Uganda Cranes interim tacticians Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba have promised not to change tactics as they take charge of the national team.

FUFA on Monday elevated the former Cranes assistant coaches to interim capacities after their boss Milutin Sredejovic quit the job over the weekend.

The two coaches had enjoyed a close and good working relationship with Sredejovic.

"We are going to miss Micho (Sredejovic) but he did his part. The good thing is we have been working together and that means we
achieved together. Now it is our time to show people that we can also do the same," Sredejovic said.

Basena said that the only difference between their time with Sredejovic and now is that he hopes to take full responsibility of the Cranes team.

Basena and Kajoba's reign rolls off today at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole with a training session for both the third round Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifiers against Rwanda and the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, 2018 qualifier against Egypt later this month.

Basena said that although he starts his duty today, he hopes to discuss his future with FUFA. Basena is also the head coach at
Azam Uganda Premier League side The Saints FC. Kajoba is the head coach of another Premier league club Bright Stars FC.

Sredojevic took charge of the Uganda Cranes in 2013.
