Maize, rice centres to be set up in Jinja, Masindi

The Ministry of Agriculture plans to set up two maize and rice centres in Jinja and Masindi to process maize and rice  for export.

As much as sh180bn has been allocated for the project and its expected to generate sh131bn annually.

The project coordinator Moses Kasigwa revealed that they have partnered with the Goverment of South Korea  to set up the centres to add value to the produce.
