Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) hopes to take the annual schools championship to regional levels of FUFA ahead of a national competition at Lido Beach next year.
Currently, UBSA invites selected teams to compete at the championship due to lack of facilities at regional level.
But UBSA chairman Deo Mutabazi is optimistic that by next year, there will be venues to stage games across the country.
He believes spreading the game across Uganda would lead to developmenent of the game.
"In our four-year strategic plan, more beach soccer pitches will be set up across the country in partnership with our key partners," said Mutabazi.
"So far, we have already struck a partnership with Busoga University to have pitches in place for the eastern region and Bishop Stuart University for the western region."
Mutabazi outlined their plans after Munta Royal College beat Tagy High School BSC 4-1 in the final to lift the Schools Beach Soccer Championships title.
The event was held at Lido Beach on Sunday.
