The month of July kicked off in a rather high gear and physique as 32 teams from different parts of the country got cooped in eight groups to breaks some sweat for a good cause.
This well attended event, was organized by 40 days Over 40 smiles (40-40), a youth-led non-profit making organization seeking to support vulnerable children's health and livelihood.
This time the proceeds are set to be used to build learning centres with books, computers and learning aid accessed at no cost, especially in slum areas.
Esther Kalenzi, the organizer, says right now they are in Makindye, but want to have those centres across Kampala. This comes after a fundraising dinner that took place in May. 40-40 intends to reach up to 20,000 vulnerable and at-risk children in the next five years.
