'SPLA soldiers detained over trespass'

Ampaire denied reports that some soldiers had gotten injured after a scuffle ensued.

Ugandan security operatives in Koboko are detaining four suspected SPLA soldiers from neigbouring South Sudan for illegally crossing into Ugandan teritory Wednesday night.

The district police commander of Koboko, Brian Ampaire, said the four military men in plain clothes were in possession of one AK47 rifle and some ammunition.

He denied reports that some soldiers had gotten injured after a scuffle ensued between the Ugandan soldiers and the armed men.

Ampaire added that security officials will analyse the intentions of the suspects especially at a time when the security situation in South Sudan is still fluid.

The DPC says incase the Ugandan security officials ascertain any criminality,the Ugandan courts will take over the case.
