African countries to celebrate Public Service Day

The day is being organized by the AU Department of Political Affairs in collaboration with the Government of Rwanda and will take place on June 23, 2017, information availed by AU said.

Fifty five  African Union Member States are scheduled to meet in Kigali, Rwanda to celebrate the 6th Edition of the African Public Service Day (APSD).

The day is being organized by the AU Department of Political Affairs  in collaboration with the Government of Rwanda and will take place on June 23, 2017, information availed by AU said.

 The main theme for the day is "Entrenching a citizen-centred service delivery culture: Partnering with the youth for Africa's transformation."

  Sub-themes include, partnering with the youth to build a responsive and sustainable Public Service; Nurturing a culture  of professionalism and ethical values in Africa's Public Service; Promoting self-reliance and empowerment of African youth for socio-economic development; and Leveraging ICT skills for quality service delivery.
